Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a maintenance and reliability professional to perform routine, preventive, and predictive tasks across production lines. You will lead 8D investigations, manage the RNM budget, and coordinate with Quality on CAPAs while supporting NPI activities and component validations.

The role requires strong problem-solving and documentation skills, with hands-on experience in PM/RCM/TPM and cross-functional collaboration to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance and reliability programs in manufacturing.
• Ability to lead quality investigations and CAPA activities.
• Familiar with NPI process support and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Perform routine, preventative, and predictive maintenance (PM/RCM/TPM) on equipment to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Execute Real-Time Problem Solving (RTPS) for line downtime and manage line backlog recovery strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Manage the Repair & Maintenance (RNM) budget for machine maintenance, spare parts replacement, and component obsolescence evaluations.
• Oversee tool testing, component characterization for New Product Introductions (NPI), and material validations.
• Maintain and update engineering manuals, safety protocols, spare parts inventory, and tooling.
• Lead 8D problem-solving initiatives for quality issues and ensure timely reporting and escalation to customers.
• Partner with Quality teams on weekly internal audits, driving continuous improvement through Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Review project engineering work with a focus on cost reduction, downtime minimization, yield enhancement, and scrap/kout reduction.
• Accurately track engineering processes, part usage/discards, repair logs, and root-cause failure analysis.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for clients: communicate downtime timelines, project status, test results, and service plans.
• Collaborate with customers to plan major service windows, minimizing production impacts and reducing wait times.
• Lead and support customer audits, including Gap Assessments, CMQS, and PCL1/PCL2 (for NPI products).
• Direct engineering staff members, manage vendor relationships, and negotiate work under strict risk management and contract guidelines.
• Prepare, maintain, and review critical engineering and line documentation, ensuring Engineering Change Requests (ECR) are raised when needed (Control Plans & Process Flow Diagrams, Control Procedures, Process Capability (Cpk) & Control Limits, Gauge R&R (GR&R) & Kappa Studies (Machine & Operator), Machine Calibration, PM Checklists, and Cps Checklists, New NPI Characterization report
