Job summary

TDK Malaysia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer in Negeri Sembilan to plan, execute and improve preventive maintenance for machinery and fixtures. You will develop SOPs, prepare checklists, and manage spare parts inventories while ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, reporting, and contributing to Lean initiatives; bilingual capability in Malay and English is preferred with reading drawings and PLC/AutoCAD knowledge valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Bahasa Melayu and English; Japanese an added advantage.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks and PLC is an advantage.
• Knowledge of 5S, 7 QC Tools, preventive maintenance, FMEA, ISO, IATF, VDA, and MSA.
• Familiar with mechanical machinery and measuring equipment such as a multimeter.
• Physically and mentally fit; willing to work extended hours when required.

• Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for machine and equipment maintenance.
• Prepare equipment maintenance checklists and ensure proper maintenance documentation.
• Prepare spare-parts inventories, including part descriptions, minimum stock levels, and cost estimates.
• Troubleshoot machinery and equipment issues, identify root causes, and prepare maintenance reports.
• Conduct dimensional inspections and preventive maintenance for jigs and fixtures.
• Monitor, analyze, and report equipment quality trends and performance.
• Analyze process quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Continuously improve Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Quality Control Plans.
• Evaluate product quality against customer requirements and applicable standards, including ISO, IATF, VDA, and OHSAS 18001.
