Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an engineer to oversee engineering documentation, equipment performance monitoring, line yield analysis, spare parts management and continuous improvement activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Science or Engineering or a Diploma with 5+ years of experience, plus at least 1 year in manufacturing. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; Japanese language is a plus. MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing; fresh graduates encouraged.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Japanese language is a plus.
• Proficiency in documentation tools (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and review engineering documents and records per ISO13485 and company requirements.
• Coordinate Non-Conformance and CAPA processes in manufacturing.
• Monitor line yield and equipment performance; support improvement activities.
• Monitor alarms and equipment abnormalities; coordinate troubleshooting with engineering and production teams.
• Manage spare parts requirements: identification, purchasing, stock monitoring and replenishment.
• Collect and analyze equipment data to identify losses, downtime, and yield issues.
• Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.

Oversee engineering-related documentation, equipment performance monitoring, line yield and alarm analysis, spare parts management, and manufacturing improvement activities. Support Non-Conformance and CAPA activities related to Engineering to maintain equipment reliability, production efficiency, and compliance with standard regulations and company requirement.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and review engineering documents, equipment records, maintenance records, and related technical documentation comply with applicable ISO13485 and company requirements.
• Coordinate Non-Conformance and CAPA processes related to manufacturing.
• Monitor production line yield and equipment performance, identify abnormal trends, and support improvement activities.
• Monitor machine alarms and equipment abnormalities, analyse recurring alarms, and coordinate troubleshooting and corrective actions with the engineering and production teams.
• Manage and monitor spare parts requirements, including spare parts identification, purchasing, stock monitoring, minimum stock levels, and replenishment.
• Collect and analyse equipment data to identify equipment-related losses, downtime, alarms, and yield issues.
• Perform any other engineering-related duties as assigned by the immediate superior.

Requirements

• Education level: Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering (or any relevant discipline) or Diploma holder with minimum 5 years working experience.
• Year of Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing. Fresh graduates with willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Capability: Effective communication skills and proficiency in Japanese language.
• Skills: Proficiency in documentation tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Language: English and Bahasa Malaysia are must, others will be an added advantage.
