Job summary

Toyo Tires in Malaysia seeks an Engineer to oversee modifications, upgrades and maintenance across the plant. You will coordinate contractors, implement new processes and ensure compliance with safety, quality and efficiency standards.

Ideal candidates have engineering training with 3+ years in automated manufacturing, excellent problem-solving skills and strong technical abilities. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for entry-level roles and gain hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in a highly automated manufacturing environment; fresh graduates welcome.
• Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
• Familiarity with safety, quality and productivity initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise contractors, vendors and craftsmen for project/ modification work plant-wide.
• Introduce new technologies and processes to optimize capacity.
• Ensure installations and modifications comply with local authority requirements.
• Lead productivity, quality improvements and cost control efforts.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs for machinery and equipment.
• Prepare installation and breakdown records and maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with departments to discuss improvements and monitor performance.

Implement all modification, additional, safety related items.

Provide technical support, information, changes and etc.

Plan, organize and supervise of contractors, vendors and craftsmen for all project and modification/upgrading related jobs plant wide.

Introduce new technological concepts and application, new processes in order to optimize and increase plant capacity.

Participate in projects handled by Project Team and EGC Engineering, ensure all new installation and modification complied with latest requirements of local authorities.

Lead to people involvement & total participation in Productivity/Quality improvement, cost control, waste control, absenteeism control and tardiness.

Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs of the machinery and equipment.

Prepare and compile the machinery installation and breakdown record.

Ensure the maintenance activity is responsive to long term needs of the plant by working with production and all supporting groups, as well as ensuring that maintenance plans, procedure and schedules are followed.

Collaborate with other departments to discuss improvements.

Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.

Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with standards at both national and international levels.

Submit required reports timely and accurately

Job Requirement

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum with 3 years working experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.

Fresh graduates are welcomed.
