Job summary

Tokio Marine Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd is seeking a Senior Manager for Corporate Solutions Operations to lead daily operational support including policy issuance, underwriting and billing administration. You will ensure timely financial activities such as receipting, refunds, and commissions while driving productivity improvements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 8 years in the field, preferably with insurance experience in employee benefits operations.

• 8 years of working experience in the related field for this position.
• Preferably with exposure in the insurance industry (Employee benefits operations).

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to provide efficient and effective day to day operational support in terms of policy issuance, underwriting and billing administration.
• Ensure department financial related activities (receipting, premium refund, experience refund and commission payout) are conducted within agreed turnaround time and in accordance with Credit Control Procedures.
• Monitor outstanding premium and claim recovery with reminders, suspensions, and demand letters to minimize losses.
• Ensure accurate and timely renewal assessments within agreed turnaround time.
• Maintain departmental data quality within internal control standards.
• Drive productivity via continuous improvement on processes, product enhancement and system development.
• Review outsourced provider contracts and service levels.
• Submit accurate and timely reports to Actuarial, Compliance, Risk, Finance and other departments.
• Participate in product development and regulatory initiatives.
• Lead and coach staff for growth and development.

Corporate Solutions Operations, Senior Manager

Lead the team to provide efficient and effective day to day operational support in terms of policy issuance, underwriting and billing administration.

To ensure department financial related activities i.e. receipting, premium refund, experience refund and commission payout are conducted within the agreed turnaround time and accordance to Credit Control Procedures.

To ensure overall outstanding premium and claim recovery are achieved at an acceptable and minimal level by implementation of effective credit control monitoring tools ie. reminder letters, policy suspension, issuance of notice of cancellation or demand letter.

To ensure accurate and timeliness renewal assessment are conducted within agreed turnaround time.

To ensure departmental data quality is processed within the internal control standards.

To drive and increase departmental productivity via series of continuous improvement on process flow, product enhancement and development of system enhancement.

Management and regular review of outsourced provider’s contract agreement and service level performance.

Submission of accurate and timeliness reports to Actuarial, Compliance, Risk, Finance and other departments.

Participation and involvement for product development and enhancement to achieve departmental top line.

Lead and participate for project or initiatives for regulatory requirement.

Manage, train, develop and coach staff performance for personal growth and development.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.

8 years of working experience in the related field for this position
