Qualifications

• Proficient in CM software and MS Office; strong scheduling skills.
• CIDB registration desirable.

About the role

Ikrar Jaya Bina Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Construction Manager (C&S) to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Peninsular Malaysia, and offers a unique opportunity to lead and oversee civil and structural (C&S) construction projects from inception through to completion. As Construction Manager (C&S), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is essential to our company's success, as you will be responsible for coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing resources, and maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. Your strategic oversight will directly impact project profitability and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and oversee all civil and structural construction activities on assigned projects
• Prepare and manage project schedules and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project specifications and requirements
• Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports for top management and clients
• Identify and resolve on-site issues and challenges to minimise delays and additional costs

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in construction management, specifically in civil and structural (C&S) projects
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects valued at RM 2 million and above
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety standards and building regulations in Malaysia
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent project planning and scheduling skills, including experience with project management tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
• Strong leadership and team management abilities with the capacity to motivate and develop staff
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Sound understanding of contract management and procurement processes
• Valid professional certification such as CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board) registration is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
