Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad seeks a senior leader to oversee civil, structural and architectural works from construction to completion at Batu Kawan, Penang. You will coordinate site activities, manage subcontractors and ensure alignment with drawings, specs and schedules.

The role requires a minimum 10 years in fast-track construction, with experience in semiconductor or mission-critical facilities, and strong leadership to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in fast-track construction.
• Experience in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing or mission-critical facilities is essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, site coordination and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil, structural and architectural works from construction to completion.

• Support planning, procurement, variation works and progress claims.
• Maintain proper documentation and as-built records.

Job description

Lead and manage civil, structural and architectural works from construction to completion.

Plan and coordinate site activities to ensure works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications and project schedule.

Lead site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure effective execution and coordination of CSA works.

Review construction drawings, method statements, shop drawings and technical submissions, and resolve site issues in coordination with consultants and relevant stakeholders.

Monitor construction progress, identify potential delays and implement appropriate corrective actions.

Coordinate closely with M&E teams to ensure proper integration and sequencing of CSA and building services works.

Coordinate inspections, testing, approvals and rectification works with consultants and relevant authorities.

Monitor subcontractor performance, workmanship, productivity and site resources.

Attend site meetings, coordinate technical matters, and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.

Support project planning, procurement, variation works, progress claims and other commercial matters related to CSA works.

Ensure proper documentation, records and as-built information are maintained throughout the project.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in fast track construction project.

Experience in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing or other mission-critical facilities is a must.

Good knowledge of construction methods, site coordination, quality control, construction drawings and technical requirements.

Strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors and multiple site activities.

Willing to be site based at Batu Kawan, Penang.
