Job summary

Pembinaan Infrastruktur OKH Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Construction) to oversee delivery of major building and infrastructure projects on a full-time basis. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safety and quality across all project phases.

The ideal candidate has 6-7 years of PM experience in construction, proficiency with Primavera or Microsoft Project, and a track record of delivering on time and within budget

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 6-7 years of Project Manager experience in construction, major building works or large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, regulations, safety standards and PM best practices.
• Proven scheduling, budgeting and cost control expertise with industry tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule construction projects with timelines, budgets and resources.
• Lead project teams including contractors and site staff for coordination and communication.
• Monitor progress against milestones and KPIs; mitigate risks and take corrective actions.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and regulatory requirements on site.
• Manage budgets and control costs, minimizing waste while ensuring quality.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders; provide updates and resolve issues.
• Maintain quality control measures and ensure contract compliance.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Construction) to join Pembinaan Infrastruktur OKH Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position that will be fundamental to the successful delivery of our construction projects. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining our reputation for excellence within the construction and infrastructure sector.

Key responsibilities

Planning and scheduling construction projects, establishing timelines, budgets and resource allocations to ensure efficient project delivery

Managing project teams, including contractors, subcontractors and site staff, to ensure effective coordination and communication across all project phases

Monitoring project progress against agreed milestones and KPIs, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain project momentum

Overseeing health and safety compliance on site, ensuring all regulatory requirements and company safety standards are met

Managing project budgets and costs, controlling expenditure and minimising waste whilst maintaining quality standards

Liaising with clients, consultants and stakeholders to provide regular updates, manage expectations and resolve issues promptly

Ensuring quality control measures are in place and that all work meets specified standards and contractual requirements

Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including reports, correspondence and records

Identifying and managing project risks, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as required

What we're looking for

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification

Minimum 6-7 years' experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably managing main building work or large-scale projects

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building regulations, safety standards and project management best practices

Proven expertise in project scheduling, budgeting and cost control using industry-standard software and tools

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality

Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse project teams

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience presenting to senior management and clients

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Primavera, Microsoft Project or similar platforms

Professional certification such as PMP, or equivalent project management qualification is advantageous

Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget in the Malaysian construction sector
