Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad is seeking a senior banking leader to oversee a regional cluster, driving growth in Retail Banking, Wealth, SME and Asset Management while aligning with senior management on strategic directions.

The role requires 10–15 years in FI and 6–8 years in people management, with a proven sales leadership track record. Based in Malaysia, it offers exposure to a nationwide branch network and ongoing digital initiatives.

Qualifications

10–15 years of experience in FI (Banking, Insurance or Investment) with strong understanding of Retail Banking, Wealth, SME and Asset Management products.
At least 6–8 years of experience in people management.
Strong track record in spearheading and executing sales strategies.

Responsibilities

Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing among branches and teams.
Build talents through optimal resourcing, capacity planning, succession planning and effective engagements.
Work with cross functional departments to ensure alignment in lending direction and continuous feedback loop on business opportunities and risk areas to avoid.
Responsible for our franchise, putting HLBB’s long term interests ahead of short-term gains.
Collaborate strategically with Management teams of other business segments and sales channels to solicit high net worth referrals, upgrades and business opportunities.
