Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Selangor is seeking a Boiler Operator to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of boiler systems. Responsibilities include supervising boiler operations, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating maintenance activities. A Grade 1 Boiler Operator Certificate is required, along with relevant experience in boiler and auxiliary equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Grade 1 Boiler Operator.
• Experience in maintenance and inspection works related to boilers and auxiliary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operation of CG Boiler, Wastewater Evaporator, and related machinery.
• Ensure maintenance of firefighting equipment and fire pump.
• Allocate work duties to fireman and boilerman.
• Monitor chemical stocks for boiler analysis and dosing.

Job description

Overview

Ensure all equipment and machinery in the plant are operate at higher efficiency and conforms to safety standard & regulation.

Ensure operation, all maintenance and repair of all equipment in the plant are done to the instruction given.

To assist Engineering Executive in upgrading and improve machine performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervision of CG Boiler, Wastewater Evaporator, Decanter, Dewatering press, Air heater and all other auxiliaries Machinery related. Inclusive of Steam and Wastewater management.
• Supervision of firefighting equipment and fire pump operation and maintenance.
• Supervision of all energy supply except electricity.
• General matters within the scope of Boiler house.
• Allocate work and duty roster of all fireman & boilerman under his charge.
• Ensure all spare parts are updated.
• Periodically check at irregular hours the duty performed by boilerman/Fireman.
• Periodically check the log sheet of all operation equipment.
• Ensure all Steam distribution and fitting are in good condition.
• Distribute the M&R work to all the respective fitters via AMM.
• Arrange and liaise with Engineering Executive on all M&R activities.
• Ensure correct storage and dosing of chemical to boiler.
• Ensure all areas under his control are clean and tidy.
• Monthly check on all chemical stocks available for water analysis and dosing for boiler.
• Perform other related works as per instructed by Superior.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must Grade 1 Boiler Operator Certificate have issued by Machinery Department.
• Experience in boiler and aux equipment M&I works.
