Benten Construction in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from start to finish, manage budgets and estimates, and coordinate equipment, materials and manpower. You will lead safety compliance, monitor progress, and collaborate with engineers, architects and subcontractors to meet deadlines.
Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with 4–8 years of site experience and proficiency in MS Project

1. Oversee construction projects from beginning to end.
2. Manage the budget and estimate costs.
3. Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed.
4. Keep track of inventory, tools and equipment.
5. Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
6. Prepare reports regarding job status and follow ISO, OHSAS requirements.
7. Resolve any problems that may arise.
8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Train and mentor construction workers and construction laborers depending on the size of the project.
10. Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team.
11. Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements.
12. Obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites.
13. Plan construction operations.
14. Ensure all deadlines are met.
15. Hire contractors and staff including construction laborers.
16. Delegate responsibilities.
17. Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects.
18. Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly.
19. Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project.
20. Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards.
21. Reporting for project CCM meeting.
22. Oversee special project and tracking progress towards company goals.
23. Adhere ISO standard, SOP and OHSAS requirement:
i) Ensuring that the Occupational, Safety & Health management is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the OHSAS standard.
ii) Ensuring that reports on the performance of the Safety & Health management system are presented to top management for review and used as a basis for improvement.
24. Other ad-hoc duties to be assigned by the HOD as and when necessary.

Job RequirementsEducation: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: 4 to 8 years of working experience on construction sites. (Project Engineers looking for a promotion are welcome to apply!)
Language: Must speak and read fluent Mandarin to coordinate easily with Mandarin-speaking contractors, suppliers, or stakeholders. Good English and Bahasa Malaysia are also required.
Skills: Good with MS Project and AutoCAD. Must know how to read construction drawings and handle basic site documentation.
