Job summary

Jiangsu Installation Sdn. Bhd. in Penang / Project Site is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from planning through completion.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and teams while monitoring progress, cost, quality and safety on site. Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project is required, along with strong Mandarin and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years of relevant construction project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, project control and site coordination.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Mandarin speaking & understanding must be strong to communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and oversee construction projects from commencement to completion.

• Monitor project progress, schedule, cost, quality and site activities.
• Develop and monitor Baseline/Master/Look-Ahead/Recovery Programmes.

• Ensure works follow drawings, specs, contracts and schedules.
• Monitor resources, manpower, materials and site requirements.
• Review and follow-up on variation orders, EOT, claims and contractual matters.
• Prepare dashboards, progress reports and management reports.
• Ensure coordination between office, site and management teams.
• Resolve issues and provide practical solutions to keep projects on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and oversee construction projects from commencement to completion

• Ensure project works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, contracts and schedules
• Monitor project resources, manpower, materials and site requirements
• Review and follow up on variation orders, EOT, claims and contractual matters

• Ensure proper coordination between office, site and management teams

Requirements

• Master’s Degree – MUST in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field
• Minimum 3–8 years of relevant experience in construction project management
• Proven experience in managing construction projects from planning to completion
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, project control and site coordination
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
• Strong knowledge of critical path analysis, progress monitoring and delay analysis
• Able to prepare and update Baseline Programme, Master Programme, Look-Ahead Programme, Recovery Programme and S-Curve
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, project dashboards and management reporting
• Experience in Design & Build projects is an advantage
• Knowledge of EOT, delay analysis and contractual programme requirements is an added advantage
• Mandarin speaking & understanding – MUST (to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients)
• Must be able to explain project progress, delays, critical issues and recovery actions clearly to management in Mandarin
• Strong leadership, coordination, follow-up, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
• Strong communication skills in Mandarin and English
• Willing to work at project sites and travel when required
