Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from conception to completion in Malaysia. You will lead onsite and offsite teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety and CIDB compliance while managing costs and timelines.

The ideal candidate has Mandarin-English fluency, a civil engineering-related degree, and 6+ years in project management for highrise or factory builds. Travel within Malaysia is expected.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Mandarin and English; able to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in project/construction management for highrise or factory projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Project, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia.
• ISO 9001 knowledge is an added advantage.

• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging ones.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences.
• Analyse, manage and mitigate risks.
• Ensure quality construction standards and proper construction techniques.

Requirements

Candidates must be fluent in both Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Building Construction, Construction Management or Architecture or any equivalent related field.

Minimum of 6 years of working experience in project/construction management with exposure in building of highrise / factory.

Computer literate with Microsoft Office; Project, Power Point & Auto CAD.

Willing to travel within Malaysia.

Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standard in the construction industry will be an added advantage.
