Job summary

Bright Sun Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong construction background to own projects from planning to completion.

You will manage execution, site operations, costing, client/consultant coordination and project documentation while ensuring quality, safety and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction, project engineering or site/project management.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machining Engineering, Construction Engineering or related field.
• End-to-end project management and site coordination experience.
• Knowledge of quantity take-off, costing, quotations, VO and progress claims.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and able to read drawings.
• Strong communication and coordination with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate projects from project commencement to completion, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, project quotations, cost estimates and Variation Orders (VO).
• Plan project activities, resources, manpower and materials according to project requirements and schedules.
• Represent the company in site meetings, progress meetings, coordination meetings, safety meetings and site inspections.
• Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal teams throughout project implementation.
• Manage and supervise daily site operations, ensuring work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Prepare, review and update AutoCAD drawings according to client and project requirements.

• Monitor project progress, identify site issues and coordinate with the Project Manager and relevant teams to resolve them.
• Prepare, review and update AutoCAD drawings according to client and project requirements.
• Conduct valuation and verification of progress claims in collaboration with clients and consultants.
• Monitor project costs, variations and overall project performance.
• Coordinate project completion, rectification works, documentation and final handover to the client.
• Ensure proper project documentation and records are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in construction, project engineering or site/project management.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machining Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related field.
• Strong experience in end-to-end project management and site coordination.
• Good knowledge of quantity take-off, costing, quotations, Variation Orders (VO) and progress claims.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and able to read and understand technical drawings.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Able to manage multiple tasks, solve site issues and work independently.
• Responsible, organised and able to work under project deadlines.
• Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Willing to travel to project/client sites when required.
