Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a capable Construction Project Manager to plan, manage, and oversee construction projects from start to finish. You will ensure delivery on time, within budget, and in line with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

The role requires 5–7 years of relevant experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

  • At least a Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced/Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, Architectural or related field.
  • Relevant professional or safety certifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum 5-7 years related work experience.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of construction projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
  • Identify project risks, delays, and potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor the quality of construction work and ensure defects are rectified.
  • Conduct and attend project coordination and progress meetings.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to management and clients.
  • Manage variations, claims, extension-of-time matters, and contractual issues.
  • Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance.
  • Resolve site issues and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper project documentation and handover records are maintained.
  • Coordinate testing, inspections, commissioning, and project handover.

  • Candidate must possess at least a Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, Architectural or a related field.
  • Relevant professional or safety certifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum 5-7 years related work experience.
  • Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, project planning, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Good leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Knowledge of relevant HSE and construction regulations.
