Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee building construction projects for a 100-person company in Kuala Lumpur. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with at least 6 years in project management and a minimum of 10 years in building projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans with resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and ensure effective communication among clients, subcontractors, and internal departments.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures and safety protocols aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project financials including budgeting and cost control to ensure profitability.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies to obtain permits and approvals.
  • Conduct site inspections and progress meetings to monitor status and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation including reports and change orders.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors for timely material delivery.
  • Apply Civil/Building Engineering principles to resolve technical challenges and ensure structural integrity.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project status, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.

  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and close‑out documents, maintaining accurate records for all project activities.

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and timely delivery of materials and services.

  • Utilize expertise in Civil Engineering and Building Engineering principles to resolve technical challenges and ensure the structural integrity and functionality of constructed facilities.
