Job summary

SINOLION WHEELS TECHNOLOGY SDN.BHD. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead industrial plant projects from planning to handover.

You will develop schedules, budgets, and procurement plans while coordinating with consultants, engineers, contractors and authorities. Responsibilities include monitoring progress, ensuring quality and safety, reviewing drawings and method statements, and reporting to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil/related discipline.
  • 8–10 years in construction project management.
  • Experience with large-scale industrial plants or facilities.
  • Strong scheduling, cost control, and risk management knowledge.
  • CIDB/OSHA familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and oversee the entire construction project from start to finish.
  • Develop schedules, budgets, resource plans, and construction methods.
  • Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and authorities.
  • Monitor progress to meet timeline, budget, quality, and safety standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and meetings to resolve issues.
  • Review drawings, specs, shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Handle procurement and monitor material deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with CIDB regs and Malaysian laws.
  • Track contractor performance, risks, variations, claims, and contracts.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management.
  • Enforce QA/QC and HSE requirements; manage commissioning and handover.

  • Plan, manage, and oversee the entire construction project from commencement to completion.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and construction methodologies.
  • Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and government authorities.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure completion within approved timeline, budget, quality, and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and site meetings to resolve technical and construction issues.
  • Review construction drawings, technical specifications, shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Manage project procurement and monitor material deliveries to prevent project delays.
  • Ensure compliance with CIDB regulations, local authority requirements, and all applicable Malaysian laws.
  • Monitor contractor performance, project risks, variations (VO), claims, and contract administration.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for management.
  • Ensure strict implementation of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements.
  • Coordinate project commissioning, testing, handover, and defect liability period (DLP).
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in industrial plants, factories, or manufacturing facilities.
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects from planning through handover.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
  • Familiar with CIDB regulations, OSHA 1994, and Malaysian construction standards.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
  • PMP certification or CIDB-related certifications are an added advantage.
  • Willing to work on-site in Kuantan, Pahang.
