We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to be responsible for managing and leading a high performance team of Clinical Nutrition Executive (CNE) to ensure effective and ethical promotion of Nestlé Health Science product range to Health Care Professionals.

A day in the life of an Area Sales Manager

  • Responsible for planning the marketing and promotional activities in his/her area, following agreed sales and marketing reviews.
  • Develop an action plan (reviewed every quarter with the NSM) which identifies objectives and sets down the strategies (by way of prioritizing resources to be used, samples, detailing, material, professional items etc) to achieve these objectives.
  • Prepare and execute a field coverage plan of contacts / customers important to the NHS Business (leveraging SFE fundamentals) within assigned territory in order to meet sales & budget targets.
  • Organize and run regular meetings with his/her team to enhance training and communicate marketing and selling strategies (monthly sales meetings and business review meetings). Ensures that action points arising from these meetings are followed up and implemented to achieve desired results.
  • Effectively coach, appraise, motivate and lead competent MD and/or Nutrition Executives in achieving business objectives, continuity and growth as well as professional/personal development and career planning so as to identify candidates for succession planning and increase individual and team productivity
  • Building and maintaining Key Opinion Leaders(KOLs) and Top Officials in-line with business plan.
  • Use the SFE program to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the medical sales team.

What will make you successful

  • University degree with equivalent background of studies.
  • With pharma or medical equipment sales experience.
  • Has had experience of managing and working with a team, as well as collaborating with sales counterparts.
  • Has independently managed top health officials in developing and building long-term relationships including consultants, specialists (Surgeons, physicians, dieticians, pharmacists etc.) to ancillary staff such as nurses and paramedics.
  • Experience in managing resources optimally to meet the business objectives.
  • Managing projects/tasks such as organizing activities with medical/paramedical health professionals on topics related to adult nutrition, products, R&D, etc.
  • Managed independently under challenging/demanding market environments to achieve and exceed goals.
