Job summary

Country Farms Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional to join our finance team. You will record supplier invoices, process payments, and manage petty cash, ensuring timely and accurate postings.

You'll support audit, tax, and statutory compliance, prepare PRs/POs for assets, and maintain fixed asset registers and stock counts with responsible personnel. Fresh grads are welcome; Excel and accounting software proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; 1–2 years of related experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as SQL Accounting or UBS.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes.

Responsibilities

• Record supplier invoices accurately and timely in the accounting system.
• Process Accounts Payable payments via vouchers, cheques, and online payments per schedule.
• Handle petty cash transactions, including journals and reimbursements.
• Perform bank reconciliations for dormant entities and assist audits, tax, and statutory work.
• Prepare PRs and POs for assets and admin purchases; issue POs per procedures.
• Submit e-Invoices (including self-billed) in line with LHDN requirements.
• Maintain monthly fixed asset register and coordinate stock counts with PICs.

Job description

Ensure all supplier invoices are recorded accurately and in a timely manner in the accounting system

Process Accounts Payable payments promptly by preparing payment vouchers, cheques, and online payments according to the approved payment schedule

Process petty cash transactions, including journal entries and reimbursement claims

Record accounting transactions and perform bank reconciliations for dormant companies

Assist in preparing supporting documents for audit, tax, and statutory compliance purposes

Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) for fixed assets and administrative purchases for outlets

Ensure Purchase Orders for operational purchases are raised and issued by the respective company or outlet personnel in accordance with company procedures

Prepare and submit e-Invoices, including self-billed e-Invoices, in compliance with LHDN requirements

Update and maintain the monthly fixed asset register and schedule

Record monthly physical stock count results received from respective PICs and coordinate with them to ensure accurate stocktake transactions

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience will have an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, and accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting, UBS, or equivalent).
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
