Job summary

THE LIVING DEPOT (PUCHONG) SDN. BHD. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant based in Puchong, Selangor. You will support day-to-day accounting tasks, collaborate with senior staff, and ensure accurate financial records.

Candidates should have a qualification in accounting, 2–3 years in accounts, proficiency in Excel and accounting software, and good English/Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is welcome for communicating with clients.

Qualifications

• A qualification in accounting or finance, such as a diploma or certificate in accounting (SPM with accounting subjects is also considered)
• Proven experience working in an accounts office or similar accounting environment, preferably 2 - 3 years
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• A professional approach to handling confidential financial information
• Punctuality, reliability and a commitment to meeting deadlines
• A willingness to learn and develop your skills within the accounting discipline
• Can able speak and written Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Process and record accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist in the preparation of invoices, purchase orders, and payment vouchers
• Maintain and reconcile subsidiary ledgers and general ledger accounts
• Perform bank reconciliations and identify discrepancies
• File and organize financial documents, ensuring proper documentation and record keeping
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
• Assist in the management of petty cash and cash disbursements
• Liaise with customers and internal departments regarding invoicing and payment queries
• Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
• Support the senior accounting staff with ad-hoc accounting duties and projects as required

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and conscientious Accounts Assistant to join THE LIVING DEPOT (PUCHONG) SDN. BHD. This is a full-time position based in Puchong, Selangor. In this role, you will provide essential support to the accounting department, handling a variety of day-to-day financial tasks that are crucial to maintaining accurate and timely financial records. You will work collaboratively with the senior accounting team to ensure all transactions are processed correctly and that the company's financial operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

Process and record accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
