Placements24 seeks an accomplished Sumiller y Gerente de Bebidas in Monterrey to curate and lead a world-class wine and beverage program within a renowned gastronomic destination.

You will manage cellar operations, train staff, and develop innovative menus that elevate the guest experience and drive beverage sales. This role demands deep wine knowledge, strong leadership, and a passion for exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Advanced certification from a recognized sommelier program (e.g., WSET Level 3+ or CMS Advanced).
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Sommelier or Beverage Manager in upscale environments.
• Extensive knowledge of international wines, spirits, and craft beers.
• Proven cellar management, inventory control, and cost analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a diverse wine list across global regions and price points.
• Manage all aspects of the wine cellar: inventory, storage, and ordering.
• Provide expert recommendations and pairings to guests during service.
• Train and mentor staff on wine knowledge, service standards, and upselling techniques.
• Oversee selection and management of spirits, cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Control beverage costs, conduct regular inventory, and meet profitability targets.
• Develop seasonal beverage specials and promotions.
• Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new releases, and emerging categories.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to align beverage offerings with the menu.
