Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including business partnering and project management.
• 5+ years in Human Resources management and leadership.
• Strong understanding of HR disciplines including talent management, organizational development, and employee relations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting corporate or central functions in a global organization.
• Demonstrated experience in unionized manufacturing or industrial environments with labor relations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Support & Partnership: advise HR Director, support workforce planning and annual processes, and leadership training, aligning HR strategies with business goals across central functions.
• Data & Analytics: analyze HR metrics, prepare reports for senior leadership, and track turnover with retention solutions.
• Central Functions Support: manage terminations, performance issues, severance, and oversee global employees at AAM.
• Health, Safety & Sustainability: deep dive into significant safety events and partner with site safety leaders.
