Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the development and enhancement of e-commerce platforms. This fully remote role lets you work from anywhere in Mexico while coordinating with engineering, product, marketing, and operations to deliver features on time and within budget.

You will own the project lifecycle from strategy to launch, manage scope, timelines and resources, and mitigate risks.

About the Role

Our client, a leading online retailer, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the development and enhancement of their e-commerce platforms. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in Mexico. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of e-commerce projects, from strategy and planning to execution and launch, ensuring a seamless and engaging online shopping experience for customers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex e-commerce projects, a deep understanding of online retail technologies, and strong leadership capabilities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, design, and operations, to deliver innovative solutions on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major e-commerce platform projects and initiatives. Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful outcomes. Oversee the development and implementation of new e-commerce features, functionalities, and integrations. Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively. Ensure that all e-commerce projects align with business goals and deliver a superior customer experience. Facilitate clear and consistent communication among project team members and stakeholders. Manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and e-commerce platform performance. Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to senior management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus. 7+ years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on e-commerce platforms and online retail. Proven experience managing large-scale e-commerce projects, including website redesigns, platform migrations, and feature enhancements. Strong understanding of e-commerce technologies, platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, custom solutions), and online marketing strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Proficiency in project management software such as Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project. Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment and manage distributed teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach. Passion for e-commerce innovation and delivering exceptional online customer experiences.
