Nubank in Mexico City is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems. You will help drive technical decisions in collaboration with adjacent teams and will be trained in Clojure as our main backend language.

Formación

• 6+ years delivering digital products in complex environments.
• Strong background in distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with cloud technologies and large-scale systems.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives end‑to‑end.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar in teams.
• Proficient in agile software development and CI/CD.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and guide large-scale distributed systems and trade-offs.
• Set technical direction and align with product and business needs.
• Drive pragmatic, secure, scalable solutions across products/geographies.
• Mentor engineers and elevate technical standards.
• Write, test, instrument, document, and maintain high-quality code.
• Participate in code reviews to grow the team.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering leadership.
• Ensure observability and robust error handling across services.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Focus primarily on backend applications.
