Job summary

The Ward Law Group seeks an experienced Personal Injury Lien Resolution Associate to negotiate medical balances and move settled cases toward disbursement. In this remote, independent contractor role, you will handle hospital liens, verify balances, submit reductions, and coordinate with attorneys to finalize settlements.

Bilingual English/Spanish required with at least two years of plaintiff personal injury reductions experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of hands-on plaintiff personal injury reductions experience for a U.S. law firm.
• Direct experience negotiating with hospitals/medical providers and explaining strategies/results.
• Experience managing a high-volume reductions caseload from balance verification to written agreements.
• Bilingual English and Spanish with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment; Litify experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate hospital liens and medical provider balances under supervision and firm procedures.
• Review medical bills, verify balances, and obtain supporting documentation.
• Submit reduction requests, follow up, and obtain written negotiations.
• Maintain records of balances, negotiations, and case status in Litify.
• Coordinate with attorneys/closing staff to resolve items and prepare files for settlement.
• Meet expectations for reductions, turnaround times, productivity, and accuracy.
• Refer legal questions to the appropriate attorney.
