Job summary

In The Network is seeking experienced Remote Personal Injury Case Managers to join our nationwide network as independent contractors. You will support law firms by guiding clients, coordinating cases, and ensuring timely communication while working fully from home.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of legal case management, strong organizational skills, English (C1), and the ability to work autonomously. Training is provided, equipment and self-employment taxes are handled by you.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of legal case management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Experienced Remote Personal Injury Case Managers Needed (Independent Contractor)

Are you an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager seeking a flexible, remote opportunity? Our staffing company is looking for highly skilled and empathetic independent contractors to support law firms nationwide. We place dedicated case managers like you with firms that need your expertise to guide clients through the complexities of their personal injury cases.

This is a virtual independent contractor position, offering the freedom to manage your caseload from anywhere. You'll be instrumental in ensuring client well-being and providing invaluable support to legal teams.

What You'll Do:

As a Personal Injury Case Manager, you'll be the backbone of client support and case progression. Your responsibilities will include:

Client Advocacy: Guiding clients through every step of their case, ensuring timely communication regarding appointments and deadlines, and arranging transportation for medical treatments when necessary. Your compassion and empathy will be key in understanding and addressing the difficulties injured individuals face.

Case Coordination: Opening and managing client files in case management software, meticulously tracking progress, and ensuring all required documents, forms, and authorizations are gathered and confirmed. This includes ordering medical records, obtaining photos, and fulfilling FOIA requests.

Team Collaboration: Working closely with law firm counterparts, insurance companies, and medical providers to facilitate smooth communication and ensure clients receive necessary legal and medical support. You'll also collaborate with Client Case Manager Auditors, addressing any identified deficiencies.

Oversight & Reporting: Managing medical requests and treatment plans, ensuring adherence to prescribed schedules, and preparing essential reports. You'll also provide oversight on case billings, budgets, and timelines, striving for cost-effective and quality outcomes.

Compliance: Adhering strictly to all software policies and procedures and consistently meeting or exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

What You’ll Bring:

We're looking for professionals with a robust background in personal injury case management. You should have:

Extensive Experience: Deep knowledge of healthcare and legal processes within personal injury, including a working knowledge of medical records, legal documents, and HIPAA practices. A minimum of two years of legal case management experience is preferred, along with any prior insurance industry experience.

Exceptional Organizational Skills: Superior follow-up, organizational, and document management skills, with a keen eye for detail and precision in filing.

Communication Excellence: Fluent English at a C1 level or above is required, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Bilingual abilities are a significant plus.

Independent & Collaborative Spirit: The ability to work autonomously, follow instructions diligently, and seamlessly integrate into a team-oriented environment.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software and strong typing skills. A willingness to learn new technologies and software is essential.

Empathy & Professionalism: A compassionate approach to client interaction, coupled with the ability to maintain professionalism with attorneys, experts, and all stakeholders.

Educational Background: A High School Diploma is required; a BS/BA in Business or equivalent experience is preferred, and a Paralegal certificate is a plus.

Important Considerations:

Independent Contractor Status: This is an independent contractor role. You will be responsible for providing your own equipment and handling all self-employment taxes (Social Security, etc.) as per your country's laws.
