Zusammenfassung

DHL Global Forwarding, a division of Deutsche Post DHL, seeks a Regional Ocean Freight Trade Manager LATAM based in Mexico City to drive trade strategy across LATAM and Asia. You will lead carrier negotiations, optimize the FCL product, and align regional with local stakeholders to support growth and profitable expansion.

Responsibilities include managing the trade lane P&L, capacity, and pricing, while coordinating with regional teams to win large RFQs and strengthen strategic partnerships.

Qualifikationen

• Must be able to travel internationally.
• 5–8 years of experience in OFR forwarding industry / Asia / LATAM trade.
• Experience with business case development and strategic tender processes.
• Experience in multinational environments and large corporations.
• Leadership potential with a proven track record as an individual contributor.
• Strong network of carrier contacts.
• English proficiency; Portuguese would be an advantage.
• Strong analytics and AI tool proficiency.

Aufgaben

• Drive Asia/LATAM trade strategy execution to achieve volume growth and profitability.
• Manage trade lane P&L, ensuring gross profit targets and budget attainment.
• Develop and maintain relationships with core regional ocean carriers and negotiate rates and terms.
• Oversee allocation, capacity management, and space utilization to meet carrier commitments.
• Monitor performance, market trends, and carrier adherence; implement corrective actions.
• Provide market intelligence and guidance on rates, capacity and market conditions.
• Collaborate with Growth, Sales, and regional teams to support SME growth and large RFQs.
• Lead and coordinate global/regional projects as required.
