DHL Global Forwarding in Mexico City is seeking a Regional Ocean Freight Trade Manager Asia/LATAM to drive ocean freight strategy and performance across LATAM while aligning with country level actions. The role will build strategic carrier relationships, negotiate terms, and optimize the FCL product to sustain growth and market expansion.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in OFR forwarding (Asia/LATAM), strong analytics capabilities, and English proficiency; Portuguese is a plus.

Formación

5-8 years of OFR forwarding experience in Asia / LATAM trade.
Experience with Business Case Development and Strategic Tender processes.
English language proficiency; Portuguese a plus.

Responsabilidades

Drive Asia/LATAM trade strategy execution to grow volume and profit.
Manage trade lane P&L, budgets, and gross profit targets.
Develop relationships with core ocean carriers and align with global strategies.
Lead carrier negotiations including rates and contracts.
Oversee capacity management and space utilization.
Monitor market trends and carrier adherence; implement corrective actions.
Define volume steering and yield management strategies.
Provide commercial guidance on rates, capacity, and market conditions.
Collaborate with Growth, Sales, and regional teams to support RFQs.
Support expansion of trade lanes with regional/global stakeholders.
