Job summary

Roquette Group in Querétaro, México, seeks a Payroll Specialist to drive end-to-end US payroll and provide backup for Mexico and Canada, ensuring compliance and timely payments.

You will manage payroll inputs, perform calculations, post-payroll reporting, tax payments, and liaise with external payroll providers and internal finance teams to maintain accurate payroll data across entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 6–8 years of payroll operations experience, including US payroll in a multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of US federal, state and local payroll, tax and employment rules.
• Experience with payroll systems and time management tools (CloudPay, ADP or ADP Celergo).
• Fluent English and Spanish are mandatory.
• Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Limited business trips (0–10%).

Responsibilities

• Prepare payroll calendar for each entity and respect cut-off dates.
• Collect, check and process payroll inputs from HR, managers, and time tools.
• Perform payroll calculations, reconciliations and validations.
• Process new hires, changes and terminations including final settlements.
• Prepare tax payments and payroll reports per US requirements.
• Provide payroll data and reconciliations with finance.
• Support Mexico and Canada payroll as backup where needed.
• Answer payroll queries with confidentiality and escalation as needed.
