Roquette is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Querétaro, México, to lead US payroll end‑to‑end with backup support for Mexico and Canada. The role requires deep knowledge of payroll laws and multi‑entity environments.

You will collaborate with HR, finance and external providers to ensure timely, accurate payroll processing, reporting, and compliance across North America. Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory, and a Bachelor's degree is required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in payroll operations, including hands‑on US payroll experience in a multi‑entity environment.
• Good knowledge of US federal, state and local payroll, employment and tax requirements; exposure to Mexico or Canada payroll is an advantage.
• Experience with payroll systems and time management tools; exposure to CloudPay, ADP or ADP Celergo is an advantage.
• Exposure to shared services environments or to a payroll transition is a plus.
• Good proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent English and Spanish are mandatory.
• Business trips: limited (0–10%).

Responsabilidades

• Payroll and Time Operations – US: Prepare payroll calendar for each legal entity; collect, check and process payroll inputs; perform payroll calculations, reconciliations and controls; process new hires, changes and terminations; prepare statutory declarations, tax payments and payroll reports; produce payroll accounting entries and support reconciliations.
• Secondary payroll support – Mexico and Canada: develop knowledge of payroll rules; provide backup during absences or peak periods; support country-specific controls and reporting.
• Employee support and stakeholder coordination: answer payroll queries with confidentiality; coordinate with Americas’ payroll team, HR, finance and external providers.
• Process, documentation and continuous improvement: document procedures; support audits and internal controls; identify improvements to harmonize payroll processes across entities.
