Job summary

Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, México, is seeking a Conference Services Manager who will lead a creative team to deliver exceptional and memorable events. You will manage the department’s financial budgets, coordinate requirements for conference groups, and guide planners through the planning process to ensure client satisfaction.

You will communicate needs across departments, optimize function space utilization, and drive revenue while maintaining Four Seasons standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or CMP Certification preferred.
• Experience: 2–3 years in hotel operations.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
• High level of creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Conference Services team daily.
• Manage budgets and upsell to maximize revenue.
• Prepare monthly financial reports (PNL) with budget prep.
• Negotiate with clients using menu presentations and event proposals.
• Build client relationships based on trust and personalized attention.
• Coordinate with Sales and Catering to maximize function space revenue.
• Ensure accurate banquet checks and post-event bill reviews.
• Attend meetings with hotel staff and clients.
• Comply with Four Seasons standards for conference services.
• Make timely, balanced decisions balancing client needs with safety and staffing goals.
• Inform Director and Planning Committee of issues promptly and provide updates.
