LEGO Group is seeking an Import/Export specialist to manage virtual trade operations in Mexico, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate record-keeping in SAP and Annex 24. The role involves coordinating with customs brokers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely clearance and data accuracy.

The candidate will drive process improvements, implement regulatory changes, and support audits while maintaining high data integrity across foreign trade systems.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade and Customs or equivalent strong experience.
  • Use of Annex 24 software, SAP, SQL, Power BI or equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge of foreign trade and customs regulations.
  • Knowledge of Mexican customs legislation (Customs Law, IMMEX, general rules).
  • Advanced communication skills in English and Spanish, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide guidance and operational support to suppliers to ensure compliance with established processes.
  • Lead the implementation of regulatory changes and onboarding of new suppliers for timely compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant foreign trade records in Annex 24 and SAP for virtual imports/exports and related processes.
  • Coordinate and validate customs documentation (COVEs, pediments, invoices, packing lists, tariff classifications).
  • Partner with customs brokers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders for timely clearance and data accuracy.
  • Monitor execution and reconcile discrepancies between systems and customs records within legal timeframes.
  • Support audits by maintaining traceable records and ensuring data consistency across systems.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and operational support to suppliers to ensure compliance with established processes, promote execution excellence, and maintain operational accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead the implementation of regulatory changes and the onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring timely compliance, effective communication, and alignment with company requirements and operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant foreign trade records in Annex 24 and SAP for virtual imports/exports, nationalizations, returns, scrap transactions, and inventory control processes.
  • Coordinate and validate customs documentation, including COVEs, pediments, invoices, packing lists, tariff classifications, valuation, and origin data, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with customs brokers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely customs clearance, data accuracy, and adherence to foreign trade requirements.
  • Monitor operational execution, reconcile discrepancies between systems and customs records, and ensure transactions are completed within legal and company-established timeframes.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining traceable records, providing required documentation, and ensuring data consistency across foreign trade and ERP systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement through KPI monitoring, process standardization, SOP development, automation initiatives, risk mitigation, and cross‑functional operational support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade and Customs, International Commerce or equivalent strong experience working in Mexican Customs brokers agencies creating customs declarations and IMMEX companies in similar position.
  • Use of annex 24 software, SAP, SQL, Power BI or equivalent.
  • Critical analysis to validate data, detect discrepancies, and prevent errors
  • Technical knowledge of foreign trade and customs regulations
  • Knowledge of Mexican customs legislation (Customs Law, IMMEX, general rules)
  • Advanced communication skills both in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing and comfortable in presenting complex ideas.
