The LEGO Group in Monterrey, Mexico is seeking an Import Export Virtual Trade Operations Specialist to ensure correct and compliant foreign trade activities, including imports, virtual exports, returns, and nationalizations, while coordinating with suppliers and customs brokers.

You will maintain records in Annex 24 and SAP, coordinate customs documentation and data accuracy, and drive improvements through KPI tracking and SOP development.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade and Customs or equivalent.
• Use of Annex 24 software, SAP, SQL, Power BI or equivalent.
• Critical analysis to validate data, detect discrepancies, and prevent errors.
• Technical knowledge of foreign trade and customs regulations.
• Knowledge of Mexican customs legislation (Customs Law, IMMEX, general rules).
• Advanced communication skills in English and Spanish, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Provide guidance and operational support to suppliers to ensure compliance with established processes, promote execution excellence, and maintain operational accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead the implementation of regulatory changes and the onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring timely compliance and clear communication.
• Maintain accurate and compliant foreign trade records in Annex 24 and SAP for virtual imports/exports, nationalizations, returns, scrap transactions, and inventory control.
• Coordinate and validate customs documentation, including COVEs, pediments, invoices, packing lists, tariff classifications, valuation, and origin data.
• Partner with customs brokers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely customs clearance and data accuracy.
• Monitor operational execution, reconcile discrepancies between systems and customs records, and ensure timely completion within company timeframes.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining traceable records and data consistency across systems.
• Drive continuous improvement through KPI monitoring, SOP development, and automation initiatives.

The Import Export Virtual Trade Operations Specialist ensures the correct, timely and compliance with current legislation of foreign trade operations (imports, virtual exports, returns, nationalizations and scrap), maintaining reliable records in systems such as Annex 24 and guaranteeing operational continuity through coordination with suppliers, customs agents and internal stakeholders.

• Lead the implementation of regulatory changes and the onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring timely compliance, effective communication, and alignment with company requirements and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate and compliant foreign trade records in Annex 24 and SAP for virtual imports/exports, nationalizations, returns, scrap transactions, and inventory control processes.
• Coordinate and validate customs documentation, including COVEs, pediments, invoices, packing lists, tariff classifications, valuation, and origin data, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
• Partner with customs brokers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely customs clearance, data accuracy, and adherence to foreign trade requirements.
• Monitor operational execution, reconcile discrepancies between systems and customs records, and ensure transactions are completed within legal and company-established timeframes.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining traceable records, providing required documentation, and ensuring data consistency across foreign trade and ERP systems.
• Drive continuous improvement through KPI monitoring, process standardization, SOP development, automation initiatives, risk mitigation, and cross-functional operational support.

Do you have what it takes?

• Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade and Customs, International Commerce or equivalent strong experience working in Mexican Customs brokers agencies creating customs declarations and IMMEX companies in similar position.
• Use of annex 24 software, SAP, SQL, Power BI or equivalent.
• Critical analysis to validate data, detect discrepancies, and prevent errors.
• Technical knowledge of foreign trade and customs regulations.
• Knowledge of Mexican customs legislation (Customs Law, IMMEX, general rules).
• Advanced communication skills both in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing and comfortable in presenting complex ideas.
