Nextpower is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Project Engineering Team in Mexico City. The role supports utility-scale PV projects across the United States, managing day-to-day structural activities from development through construction.

You will perform wind, seismic, and foundation analyses, prepare structural calculations and documentation, and coordinate with cross-functional teams in the United States, India, and other offices.

Formación

• Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably within the EPC solar industry.
• Experience with wind, seismic, and various loads; development of construction documents.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE, ASTM, AISC, AISI, ACI and relevant codes.
• Proficiency in Excel; Python desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Produce structural design calculations for solar tracker racking systems.
• Review site conditions, perform preliminary structural calculations, and aid cost estimates.
• Conduct wind, seismic, and foundation load analyses; prepare calculation packages; sign/seal documents when required.
• Provide construction support including RFIs and submittals review.
• Develop knowledge of Nextpower products to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-regional structural and civil teams to maintain standards and tools.
• Manage schedules and review deliverables from external consultants.
• Support process improvements and team development.
