Nextpower in Mexico City seeks a Structural Engineer to join the Project Engineering Team, supporting key accounts across the United States. You will manage day-to-day structural activities for utility-scale PV projects from development through construction.

The role requires a Master’s in Structural or Civil Engineering and at least 5 years’ experience in structural analysis and design, with strong English communication and collaboration across regions. Hybrid work setup applies.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within the EPC solar industry.
• Hands-on experience in structural analysis and design for multiple loads and materials.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (IBC, ASCE, ASTM, AISC, AISI, ACI).
• Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD; LPile/AllPile or equivalent experience.
• Experience with finite element software such as RISA-3D, STAAD.Pro, OpenSees.

Responsabilidades

• Produce structural design calculations for solar tracker racking systems.
• Review site conditions and contribute to preliminary structural calculations.
• Conduct wind, seismic, and foundation analyses and sign/seal documents when required.
• Provide construction support and respond to RFIs and submittals.
• Develop knowledge of Nextpower products to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-regional teams to maintain design standards and tools.
• Manage engineering schedules and review deliverables from external consultants.
• Support process improvements and team development.
