Nextpower is actively seeking a Structural Engineer in Mexico City to join the Project Engineering Team. You will manage day-to-day structural activities for utility-scale PV projects, from development through construction, coordinating with US, India, and other global offices.

You will perform wind, seismic, and foundation analyses, prepare documentation for quotes, and ensure designs meet international codes and Nextpower standards. Hybrid work and international collaboration are key aspects.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years in structural engineering, EPC solar preferred.
• Experience with wind/seismic/load analysis and construction documents.
• Knowledge of IBC/ASCE/ACI codes.
• Proficient in Excel, AutoCAD; familiar with LPile/AllPile.
• Proficient in finite element software such as RISA-3D, STAAD.Pro, OpenSees.

Responsabilidades

• Produce structural design calculations for solar tracker racking systems.
• Review site conditions and perform preliminary structural calculations.
• Conduct wind, seismic, and foundation analyses; prepare calculation packages.
• Provide construction support and review submittals.
• Develop knowledge of Nextpower products to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-regional engineering teams to maintain standards.
• Manage schedules and review deliverables from external consultants.
• Support process improvements and team development.
