Nextpower, a leader in solar tracking solutions, seeks a Senior Structural Engineer in Mexico City to lead foundation design for utility-scale PV projects. You will perform wind, seismic, and foundation sizing, develop structural tools, and coordinate with teams in the U.S., India, and other offices.

The role requires 3+ years in structural engineering, strong English, and experience with codes and FE analysis tools. Hybrid work arrangement with onsite and remote days is available.

Formación

• BS in Structural Engineering with emphasis on Foundations.
• MS in Structural Engineering is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of international engineering standards and codes (IBC, ASCE, ASTM, AISC, ACI).
• Proficiency in finite element analysis software (RISA, STAAD, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in advanced modal and dynamic analysis.
• Minimum of 3 years of structural engineering experience, preferably in the solar EPC industry.
• Experience in structural design including dead, live, snow, wind and seismic loads and construction documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in foundation tools like LPILE/AllPile, Risa foundation, Staad foundations, Plaxis.
• Programming language skills are a plus.
• Self-motivated team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for renewable energy and solar power is a plus.
• Fluent English is required to communicate with clients and produce technical documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Produce civil and structural design documentation, including drawings and calculations.
• Support the project development phase by reviewing site information and cost estimations.
• Perform structural analyses for wind, seismic, and foundation loads and prepare calculations/reports; sign/seal documents if required.
• Provide construction phase support by responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
• Develop understanding of Nextpower products to support engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with engineers across regions to maintain standards and design tools.
• Manage schedules and review deliverables from consultants.
• Support development of Nextpower’s Design Services team.
• Occasional site visits to supervise Geotech investigations and foundation work.
