Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Payroll and Compensation Specialist in Monterrey, Mexico, to join our HR team on a hybrid work arrangement. You will oversee payroll processing for all Mexican employees and manage compensation structures, bonuses, and benefits programs.

The role requires strong knowledge of Mexican payroll regulations and tax laws, plus experience with payroll software and HRIS systems. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in payroll processing and compensation management.
• In-depth knowledge of Mexican payroll regulations and tax laws.
• Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees in Mexico.
• Manage compensation structures, including salary, bonuses, and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll tax regulations.
• Administer employee benefits programs and retirement plans.
• Maintain up-to-date employee records in HRIS and payroll systems.
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in developing compensation surveys and analyzing market data.
• Provide support to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
• Collaborate with the finance department on payroll-related matters.
• Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations affecting payroll and compensation.
