Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced cost manager for hotel development projects in Mexico City. You will lead cost estimation, procurement strategy, and value engineering to optimize project outcomes.

The role requires 8–12 years in cost management for hospitality, with a degree in a related field and strong client leadership. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential, and the team supports a collaborative, on-site work environment.

Qualifications

8–12 years of experience in cost management, focused on hotel development or hospitality projects.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
Professional certifications (RICS, AACE) preferred.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Strong communication, client management and leadership skills.
Proficient in CostX, AutoCAD, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Conduct feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports for hotel development projects.
Review construction plans, prepare quantity take-offs, and manage contract preparation and administration.
Develop and review detailed cost estimates and comprehensive cost plans for hospitality projects.
Lead estimating and cost planning activities, presenting final cost plans to stakeholders.
Manage procurement processes, including strategy development, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contracts.
Oversee post-contract cost variances and change control processes, ensuring budgets are updated.
Prepare and present monthly post-contract cost reports to clients.
Drive value engineering and life cycle costing to optimize investments.
