Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our team in Mexico City. The ideal candidate combines strong cost management skills with clear communication and teamwork to develop cost plans from concept through design.

Responsibilities include updating cost plans, evaluating design changes, providing commercial input, and delivering lifecycle cost analyses for large-scale projects. Advanced English and a construction-focused degree are required.

Qualifications

• Advanced English required for international clients.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, cost management, quantity surveying or related construction field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in cost management or estimating.
• Experience in roles such as Estimating, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer or Cost Controls.
• Client facing experience is preferred.
• Experience supporting program level cost management for medium/large projects.
• Knowledge of value management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design.
• Support client land acquisitions and provide commercial input to design options.
• Deliver and present updated cost plans at design milestones.
• Review proposed designs and new technologies, prepare estimates with appropriate accuracy.
• Understand design stages and estimate levels.
• Provide cash flow forecasts for construction lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on estimates and cost plans.
• Analyze labor markets and cost drivers (unions, taxes).
• Support clients with monthly presentations.
• Deliver Life Cycle Costing models and benchmark data.
