Job summary

Johnson Controls in Mexico is seeking a Carrier Management Analyst to support the Freight Payment & Audit team for North America, overseeing $250m in freight spend. You will enhance carrier invoicing accuracy, resolve issues promptly and reconcile statements of account to ensure timely payments.

You will lead carrier meetings, drive process improvements, create ad hoc reports and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize freight pay activities across plants, suppliers and distribution centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience considered.
• Minimum of 3 years logistics analyst or planning experience.
• Must be fluent in the English language.
• ERP experience a plus; strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Thorough knowledge of the freight industry (TL, LTL, Ocean, parcel).
• Basic DOT/ICC rules knowledge; ability to plan and act ahead.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills; capable of cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct weekly, bi-weekly, monthly carrier meetings.
• Drive carrier account calls using a standard resolution process.
• Lead escalation and resolution for carrier payment issues.
• Resolve invoicing issues across discrepant categories (rates, quotes, reviews).
• Pull statements and coordinate with freight audit providers to ensure timely payments.
• Create ad hoc reporting as necessary.
• Lead cross-functional projects to drive freight payment efficiency.
• Work cross-functionally to resolve payment issues promptly.
• Program manage resolution of carrier payment issues with notes and actions.
• Support carriers with remittance updates in ERP via GSOM process.
• Own Freight Audit policies and SOPs; maintain related logistics information.
• Ensure carriers understand freight pay procedures and resolve discrepancies.
• Research and evaluate alternative processes for logistics needs.
• Other duties as assigned, including KPI reporting and project support.
