Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Freight Claims Administrator to support the Freight Audit and Payment (FAP) activity for JCI Business Units. You will monitor third-party FAP processes, ensure timely filing and follow-up on freight claims, and analyze metrics to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Advanced English in a professional setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Operations Management or related Logistics field.
• Minimum 5 years of direct Freight Audit and Payment and claims administration experience.
• Experience with NMFC claims related tariffs.
• Strong knowledge of the Logistics industry including distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, import/export, supply chain management.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with ownership of results.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze data to drive improvements.
• Excellent communication across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor FAP processes for proper controls and audit procedures; drive corrective actions when deficiencies are found.
• Ensure transportation providers receive and process claims within designated timeframes.
• Provide data-driven analytics to track freight claims and improve metrics; create KPI reports.
• Post and update freight claims weekly for logistics managers; ensure timely information for payments.
• Collaborate with carriers, leadership, and category managers to review open claims.
• Engage with JCI insurance on claims-related matters and support training for claimants.
