Job summary
Dematic seeks a Controls Engineer for its Technical Support group. The role involves remote customer support using schematics and PLC logic to identify and isolate issues in large conveyor systems.
Travel of 10–20% to customer sites, including some weekends, is expected. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree with 6–8 years in customer service support, and hands-on experience with Allen Bradley Logix PLCs, Siemens, and Modicon PLCs, plus electrical troubleshooting and strong
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 6–8 years in related field providing Customer Service Support.
- Experience with Allen Bradley Logix PLC controls platforms.
- Experience with controls hardware troubleshooting.
- Siemens and Modicon PLC experience.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Strong customer service mentality.
- Strong verbal communication skills over the phone.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate teams.
- Ability to work in shifts.
Responsibilities
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, four days on followed by four days off.
- Supports Large-size Complex conveyor systems integrating hardware and software.
- Assists in Large-size Projects with complex material specifications and schematic troubleshooting.
- Recommends ideas for productivity improvement, cost reduction and customer satisfaction.
- Provides troubleshooting expertise to Dematic's customers.
- Travels 10–20% to different customer locations, including weekends and overtime.
