Job summary

Dematic is seeking Mechatronics or Controls Engineers to design and implement Material Handling Automation Systems. You will work on hardware and software design, and prepare calculations, specifications, and test plans.

You will participate in technical reviews and present results to internal teams and customers. Responsibilities include creating electrical layouts, selecting components, configuring VFDs, and documenting outcomes per Dematic standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or related Electrical design field.
• Advanced English – written and oral.
• 2+ years in Automation Engineering environment.
• Experience selecting electrical automation components and developing electrical drawings.
• 2+ years of PLC software development or debugging (Siemens/ABB/Becoff).

Responsibilities

• Interpret design inputs to create semi- complex systems designs.
• Place electrical components in conveyor systems with correct I/O elements.
• Create electrical layouts and schematics with CAD tools.
• Perform power calculations and wiring checks per standards.
• Develop and document embedded conveyor controllers and test models.
