Job summary

Veritiv Corporation is seeking a Collections Specialist to optimize cash flow for assigned accounts through proactive communication, investigation, and reconciliation. The role requires strong English and Spanish language skills and experience with credit and invoicing processes.

The candidate will manage a portfolio of accounts, pursue delinquent payments, and coordinate with Sales and Credit teams to resolve disputes and ensure timely collections. A degree and relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires strong oral and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Three or more years of commercial credit or collection experience.
• Bachelor or Associate Degree or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a portfolio of accounts to facilitate on-time payments and delinquency recovery.
• Contacts customers via phone and email regarding invoices, credits, and disputes.
• Documents all collection interactions and follow-ups, including promises to pay.
• Researches and resolves disputes and confirms payments through invoicing systems.
• Escalates unresolved issues to the Credit Manager and reports delinquency trends.
