Job summary

Veritiv in Mexico is seeking a Credit and Collection Specialist responsible for collections from US and international customers, reducing delinquency and resolving invoice discrepancies.

You will coordinate with the Credit and Collection Manager, support cross-functional teams, process payments and prepare weekly reports to keep accounts current. The role also focuses on improving AR processes to enable timely shipments and resolutions.

Qualifications

• Collections of payments from US and International customers.
• Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned customer accounts
• Provide customer service regarding collection issues, follow up on open invoices and short payments or/and any discrepancy with customers to be correctly resolved.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on disputes to get thems resolved and have cleared the account of the customers assigned.
• Monitor and maintain assigned accounts -- customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write offs, customer reconciliations and all the payments plans to get their current balance (goal-oriented)
• Influence external client to take desired actions by using techniques appropriate to the situation
• Review and coordinate with the Credit and Collection Manager to approve release of shipment to customers in credit hold.
