As Reed Turkey, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Production Manager for our client operating in Packaging and Container Manufacturing sector, for their production facility located in Italy.

The ideal candidate will lead the operational management of production equipment and technical services. This role is critical in ensuring optimal equipment performance, maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), managing spare parts, and driving continuous improvement across production processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within packaging, pharma, cosmetics, or food sectors.
• Advanced level of English.
• Strong knowledge of Lean principles; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software and reading technical drawings.
• Solid project management skills, including cost control and deadline management.
• Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with suppliers.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and drive continuous improvement.
• Willing to reside in Italy, eligible to obtain a Schengen visa.

Requirements

• Optimize equipment utilization to reduce downtime and boost efficiency.
• Maintain and align BOMs with operational and procurement needs.
• Lead process optimization initiatives using Lean and Kaizen methodologies.
• Ensure availability and cost-efficiency of spare parts for uninterrupted production.
• Coordinate workshop activities and prioritize technical tasks.
• Provide rapid technical support to resolve production issues.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials and parts.
• Support maintenance planning (preventive, predictive, and corrective).
• Lead plant improvement projects and analyze KPIs for performance enhancement.
