Job Description

Contingent upon Contract Award.

The Surgical Technician (Scrub Tech) plays a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment, and assisting the surgical team throughout the procedure. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. This position is based in Israel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room by assembling surgical instruments, equipment, and necessary supplies.
  • Assist in the positioning of patients and ensuring their safety during surgical procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with established infection control standards.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and surgical team during operations.
  • Monitor the patient’s condition and alert the surgical team to any changes during procedures.
  • Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
  • Assist with post-operative care, including transferring patients to recovery areas and ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate records of all supplies used.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
  • Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client‑specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements/Certifications
  • The CST certification offered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or country of record equivalent.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or equivalency.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years recent experience as a Surgical Technician including at least six months out of the past year.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required
  • Graduate from an accredited surgical technician program, have the military equivalent training course with Certificate of Completion (i.e. 68D, HM8483, 4N1x1) or country of record equivalent.
  • Medical Technology, related field or approved equivalent.
Physical Requirements
  • Must meet pre‑deployment physical requirements.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • May require bending, stooping and lifting to 30 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications
  • Valid Passport from country of record with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Israel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a required security clearance. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
  • Must be able to relocate to Israel for the duration of the project.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
