Job summary

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide expert technical support and maintenance for Hitachi systems at customer sites. You will install, commission, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

You will diagnose and resolve intricate issues across electrical, mechanical and software domains, perform preventative maintenance, and deliver on-site customer training. Travel and on-call rotations are required.

Qualifications

5+ years of proven field service engineering experience.
Experience with complex industrial or IT systems.
Reading and interpreting schematics, diagrams and manuals.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot and repair Hitachi systems at customer sites.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across electrical, mechanical and software components.
Perform preventative maintenance and calibration to ensure system reliability.
Provide on-site training and guidance on product operation and best practices to customers.
Collaborate with engineering, sales and support teams to resolve escalated issues and contribute to product improvements.
Document all service activities including diagnostics, repairs, parts used and customer interactions.
Maintain high customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely service delivery.
Follow safety policies and customer site rules; manage spare parts inventory and service tools.
Participate in on-call rotations and travel extensively as required.
