Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide expert technical support and maintenance for Hitachi systems at customer sites. You will install, commission, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

You will diagnose and resolve intricate issues across electrical, mechanical and software domains, perform preventative maintenance, and deliver on-site customer training. Travel and on-call rotations are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven field service engineering experience.
• Experience with complex industrial or IT systems.
• Reading and interpreting schematics, diagrams and manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Responsabilités

• Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot and repair Hitachi systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across electrical, mechanical and software components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration to ensure system reliability.
• Provide on-site training and guidance on product operation and best practices to customers.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales and support teams to resolve escalated issues and contribute to product improvements.
• Document all service activities including diagnostics, repairs, parts used and customer interactions.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely service delivery.
• Follow safety policies and customer site rules; manage spare parts inventory and service tools.
• Participate in on-call rotations and travel extensively as required.

The opportunity

As a Field Service Engineering Experienced Professional at Hitachi, Ltd., you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance for complex Hitachi products and systems at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

How you’ll make an impact

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Hitachi's advanced systems and equipment at customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, often requiring in-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and software components.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration activities to ensure system reliability and compliance with specifications.
• Provide on-site technical training and guidance to customers on product operation, maintenance, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and support teams to resolve escalated issues and provide feedback for product improvement.
• Document all service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and customer interactions, accurately and thoroughly.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication, timely service delivery, and effective problem-solving.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as customer site regulations.
• Manage spare parts inventory and service tools efficiently.
• Participate in on-call rotations and travel extensively as required to support customer needs.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in field service engineering, preferably with complex industrial or IT systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues under pressure.
• Expertise in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and software components.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
• Ability to travel

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:

• Starting from:38000 € gross

The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
